New Web Animations Tool for HTML5 Launched by Adobe

Adobe has launched a public preview of its new HTML5 animations tool named Adobe Edge. While most graphic animation tools allow designers to create animations using Flash, this new animations tool by Adobe will allow animators to create animation movies using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3. This is the first non-flash animations tool launched publicly, and the company is waiting for feedback from programmers and designers before launching the tool commercially.
Adobe is not promoting its new animations tool as a replacement for its existing graphic animation tools like Flash or Dreamweaver. The company aims to maintain its dominance over the graphic animation market by becoming the leader in both Flash and non-Flash animation tools. Adobe already launched a Flash to HTML converter a little time ago, and that shows its commitment to supporting both the platforms.
