Firefox 5 Supports CSS Animations

Mozilla has released Firefox 5 for PCs and Android smartphones. There are several exciting new features in this version of Firefox, chief among them being its support for CSS animations. This technology is very useful for viewing dynamic apps and Web pages.

Another interesting new feature is the Add-on SDK that was previously known as Jetpack. It makes building extensions with technologies like HTML, CSS and others much simpler for users. Firefox 5 will also feature do-not-track technology and a Canvas feature which adds 2-D graphics technology. Mozilla, once the prime competitor to MS Internet Explorer, faces an uphill battle against competition from IE and also from Google Chrome. A new version of Chrome launches every sic weeks, making it hard for any other competitor to keep up. Mozilla has opted to release new versions of its browser every three months going forward.
