“Jock of the Bushveld” Released As South Africa’s First 3D Animation Movie

South Africa's first 3D animation movie opened in theatres all over southern Africa on Friday. The 3D animation movie "Jock of the Bushveld", which is based on a 1907 South African literary classic, has been given voices by a lot of celebrities. The movie recounts the real life adventures of well known South African explorer and author of the bestseller on which it is based, Percy Fitzpatrick, and his puppy Jock, who has gained national icon status. The 3D animation movie features the voices of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Bryan Adams, among many other famous names. The movie has been shot using special 3D animation cameras and effects, and is essentially a re-release of the same movie which was released in 1986 by Duncan MacNeillie, the director of the 3D animation movie.
